The problem with EU is…
…that it’s too complicated. Honestly, I did not know before exactly what the task of the Commission, the European Council or the Parlament was until I read a book on EU:s political system in preperation for an exam. Afterwards I didn’t find it so complicated, but for an ordinary person to take time and understand the system it can be hard. I do not think the “no” vote from Ireland on the Lisbon Treaty has anything to do that they are negative towards EU or Europe, it’s just that no one really understands what it’s about. The same goes for the Netherlands and France. I believe a co-operation between European countries, but the EU is just too difficult. So how do we make EU easier to understand?
No commentsBan Greece from football
You all saw the game yesterday. It was not only a party for the Swedes, there was also a crime against football commited by the Greece national team. I’m talking about the passing around between three Greek defenders, trying to waste game-time. Boo it and boo it loud! It may be tactical, but as a football fan I am outraged. I do not want to watch three men pass the ball around with each other, like it’s a casual Sunday football session between friends, it’s the EURO 2008! It actually means something. You are supposed to run, kick and fight like there is no tomorrow. Make your countrymen proud. Make people happy that they are enjoying entertaining football.
Thank god Sweden scored those goals, and hope to god they do not make it to the quarter-finals and poison the tournament with their non-football.
No commentsLove is not enough
Before I’ve always thought that if too people love each other things somehow work out. Like love is a supernatural power that will make all troubles go away. I now think that’s a bit naïve. Love is not enough. It’s not enough, you have to work for it. If you love someone and you want that person to love you back you have to earn it and take the love, it does not come automatically. Like most things in life, love also isn’t free.
