Planning Asiatrip

In November I hope to travel to Asia and stay there for as long as I can (meaning until my money runs out). I’ve been doing some planning for a few months now, trying to work out a good itinerary but it seems hard. I will travel with a friend so we need to meet up and plan this for real. We know which countries we want to visit, but not in which order and so on. Countries in our plan: Hong Kong, Australia, Indonesia (Bali), Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia, China and Japan. The problem is how we will travel in between these areas, especially to/from Australia and Japan. Travelling with airplane is pretty much the only choice, but the cheap airline tickets are few (actually almost nonexistent). I found JetStar, which flies between Japan and Australia for an okay price. Between China and Japan (if we would travel that route), we would probably take the boat. There is one that sails from Shanghai to Osaka and last time I checked the prices it was around 150 euros there and back. To/From Malaysia is not a problem. AirAsia has really cheap airline tickets, and my cousin has flown with them and he said it was okay for Low-Cost Airline. Kind of like the asian RyanAir.

Tips on cities to visit in the countries above are welcomed. : )

Also: Heard that RyanAir are planning to fly from Stockholm to Salzburg (unfortunatly not until December) but maybe then I can fly a bit cheaper between Munich and Stockholm! Yaay! I hate that I have to either fly to Frankfurt-Hahn and then take the train, or with GermanWings but then change flights in Cologne-Bonn or Berlin.

Don’t know if I should laugh or cry…

I kind of feel ashamed to say this, but I just had the worst sexual experience of my life. I just want to erase that night from my head… It was just so bad. Kind of feel sorry for the guy, though. Lol…

Cleaning time

I decided to clean up at rockless.org. I want to move this blog to the main page… Any idea how to do that? And then this blog should mainly be a book/travel blog, but I might mix it with other things as well. Then I might revive my Livejournal account, make that friends-only, and write the most personal stuff there.

Edit: There. Now the blog is on the main domain page.

Money, money, money…

One of my oldest friends just told me über happily that she will travel abroad for the first time in her twenty-year-old life. I feel bad because we only grew up a few hundered metres apart or so but still I feel like I’ve had more opportunities and more freedom (to travel, broaden my views etc.) only because my family happen to have a little more money. I try to tell her about my travels in the most humble way as possible. Sometimes I don’t tell at all.
I’ve always learnt that you should feel ashamed if you have a lot of money. I’m only twenty, so I don’t have a lot of money to flaunt, but if I someday have, I would definetly not do it. My grandmother once said that financial freedom gives you personal freedom. I guess that’s true.

Maybe I feel so strong about this right now because I am reading a book by Sisela Lindblom called De skamlösa (The Shameless) about today’s materialistic society. I actually feel disgusted by the behaviour of some of the characters in the book.
