Torture, torture…
Yesterday’s lecture on Communcation and Media History was a torture. I made the mistake of getting a seat in one of the back rows. No one listens in the back. They didn’t even bother getting a paper out to take notes. For me history is only interesting when there is violence involved, and those of you who don’t know communication and media history I’ll tell you there is little violence involved in that. So I can agree that it is a boring subject but I still want to learn so I can pass that class so I tried to listen, but I could not because everyone around me kept whispering and giggling with each other. At some points the the whispering turned to talking and the giggling to laughing and the professor at the front noticed. He tried to speak louder but no one cared, they just kept talking. Those few minutes that kept going on felt like torture. I felt so bad for him and I thought it was disrespectful of the other people to disturbe the professor. I mean if they don’t want to listen to the lecture, why are they there? They could have stayed at home so I could have actually heard what the professor had to say.
